The Seahawks function totally through
Volunteer support.
As you may know, Exeter Seahawks Junior Football is an entirely volunteer-run operation and a team effort on the part of players and families alike. Board members and coaches put in many hours before, during, and after the season to ensure the program runs successfully. In addition, each family is expected to put in 4 hours of volunteer time during the season. Some of the ways you can volunteer are equipment day, picture day, team parent, absentee phone line, concessions manager, concession worker, field set up, announcer, scorekeeper, chains, equipment turn in, calendar sales and coordination, closing ceremony help and field closing. If you are unable to commit to one of these jobs, you may choose to pay a fee of $50 in lieu of volunteering with the organization. The Seahawks will in turn hire someone to work in the various positions we need filled.
With the expanded Seahawks program allowing more children to participate in the game of football, our volunteer pool does get spread thin. We rely on every family’s pledge to volunteer at least at two games in some capacity in order to run our program. Many hands make light work!
Please review the Volunteer Roles below.
